Year 6 Taster Day
Stewards Academy was delighted to welcome the first cohort of eager, enthusiastic and excited year 6 pupils to its Taster Day.
Pupils were given a range of curriculum activities to experience, accompanied for the whole day by current year 7 pupils who supported them. Pupils were then given a real treat with a preview performance of the Lower School Production of Sparkle-Shark. The year 6 pupils sat enthralled with the performance which was also shown to the public. A great day was had by the pupils who are now so excited about beginning their secondary journey at Stewards Academy this September. Pastoral Lead Mrs J Bartlett said ‘This cohort of pupils has shown exemplary behaviour today. Many of these pupils are following in their parents’ footsteps, as they previously attended Stewards Academy themselves.’
One year 6 pupil said ‘I am really looking forward to coming to Stewards now - I was really nervous but all the teachers and other pupils have been so kind and helpful to me. I know if I need anything there will be somebody to help me in September.’
