Stewards Academy's Christmas Traditions
During the most recent assemblies, our attention has been on Christmas at Stewards and the important traditions we have created over the years – our wonderful Christmas Tree of Remembrance and the beautiful and poignant service we hold. On Friday, 1st December, young people, staff, and parents came to join us around the Christmas tree for the turning on of the Christmas lights and to take a quiet moment to remember those who we have loved and lost. Many people wrote a personal tribute or message to a loved one on a wooden heart (which we then varnished to protect against the elements) and were then hung on the tree before the service. As always, it was quite magical.
Another Stewards tradition is our lovely Christmas hampers. Every year, we put together hampers containing lots of fabulous treats and deliver them to selected families in our community.
We look forward to our Christmas Fayre this Friday, 8th December and invite you all to join us! Commencing at 15:45 and finishing at 17:15, there will be a variety of stalls with cakes, sweets, soft toys, knitted items, homemade crafts, glitter tattoos, plus an adult’s and a children’s tombola, Name the Teddy and a raffle! We’d love to see you there.
