Welcome to Stewards Academy

I am incredibly proud to have the chance to welcome you to our school as its new headteacher from September 2024. Stewards is an exciting, vibrant and caring school that seeks to serve its community in the most effective ways possible. At Stewards we are constantly reflective and open to new experiences and ideas. All of us seek constant improvement and are excited to be part of the improvement journey that we are on as a school. This is the culture we aim to develop in everyone associated with Stewards, and we know that by doing so we will enable the young people who attend our school to learn, develop, grow and achieve success in all that they do. My role as headteacher is to lead the development of our school and make sure that we rapidly take the steps to success that I know we can achieve.

Stewards has a proud history as the heart of its community in Harlow. We believe that we should be more than simply a place of education for the young people who call us their school. We want to ensure that our whole community can be lifted up by being associated with Stewards by being a place of excitement, culture, joy, sport and learning which produces the next generation of young adults who will work to make life better for themselves, their families and their communities. We are currently engaged in reviewing, revamping, and reinvigorating every aspect of our school to be somewhere which we can be even more proud of in the future. Every day when I arrive at our school, I feel excited and energised to be with our young people and our staff. I love talking to our parents and carers about our school and would love to share that feeling with you.
