The audience was totally absorbed to hear from the pupils about the teaching and learning strategies that worked for them. They recalled their favourite lessons and experiences of primary school, and gave insightful advice to the assembled delegates on how best to run their schools. Assistant Headteacher Janine Francis, who accompanied Marie Erwood on her last such trip before retirement, said ‘I am so impressed with the confidence which has shone through in the  perceptive comments that our pupils have made. These young pupils have certainly set the bar high, but it is very obvious that each one of them has a very bright future.’
