Jack Petchey Achievement Awards
Stewards Academy is proud to participate in the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards each year. We are excited to have our virtual awards ceremony next month, when we will get to celebrate the successes of last year’s winners and this.
All the Stewards Family have an opportunity to nominate recipients that they feel deserve an achievement award. Staff and pupils use our online Jack Petchey nomination form at different points in the year and provide detailed reasons for their choice.
Members of the Student Leadership Team meet members of the Leadership team three times a year to discuss the nominations and help decide who should receive the fantastic awards.
This year’s winners have been nominated for a range of reasons including: commitment to academy life during their 5 years, sporting achievement, overcoming personal hardships, increased confidence, supporting charity work, personal development and achievement, supporting peers, being outspoken on key issues, and being an excellent role model to others. Full details can be seen in our newsletters and on the website.
Mrs da Vighi, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Working with the Student Leadership Team to discuss the many excellent Jack Petchey nominations is one of the highlights of my work. Each of our chosen winners this year has shown a range of life skills including maturity, resilience, kindness, respect, and have embraced the Stewards courage values. Many congratulations to our very worthy recipients - Oliver, Mia, Mason, Bryony, Shane, Jade, Kemarah, Danny and Hardson.”
