On Tuesday 3rd October, Year 11 - Set 1 Maths took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge. This involved completing 25 challenging maths questions on many different topics intended to showcase their mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills. Pupils were competing against students at a high level in Year 11, 12 and 13 across the country.

This is only the third time Stewards has participated in this challenge, and the pupils have done very well. This challenge is extremely difficult as students studying A-Levels also compete at this level.

Our pupils showed great resilience throughout the challenge which is reflected in the results. Special mention to: Chloe Steele for achieving a Bronze Award and ‘Best in School’, an amazing achievement.

Next up will be the Junior and Intermediate challenges for Years 7 & 8 and Years 9 & 10 respectively. We will keep you updated on how they get on and hopefully more award news to follow.
