Performing Arts
Performing Arts at Stewards Academy has gone from strength to strength over the years, reflected in previously receiving the Artsmark Gold award. We pride ourselves on the fact that all pupils, as long as they are prepared to be committed, are given equal opportunity to attend clubs, audition for productions and take part in a range of events.
The performing arts give pupils the chance to mix and work with pupils from other classes and year groups. It helps to promote teamwork and cooperation as well as individual confidence.
We collaborate on a number of events throughout the year and pupils are provided with many opportunities for public performance. We encourage their commitment and dedication to rehearsals and performance in order for them to be the best they can be.

The department also organises additional enrichment opportunities including visits from theatre professionals, visits to further education providers and regular trips to the the theatre both locally and in London.
On one of our recent trips we went to see Motown The Musical starring past pupil Amandla Elynah. Pupils met her after the show for a photo!
